Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs

IMG_0133.jpg

We have a bunch of 99% lean turkey in the fridge and I was experimenting on how to make it taste better. This is recipe was the winner! This recipe is so easy and quick to make, and because I’m using an air fryer, I feel less guilty about it. You can use any ground meat. Most recipe use eggs as binder, but I personally dont feel the need for it since the oil does the job of binding and making it crispy.

If you dont have an air fryer you can bake it as well, just check the temperature of your meat. I will guess around 15 minutes in 375 F.

Recipe

serves: 14-16 meatballs | prep: 10 mins | cook: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat (I used 99% lean turkey)

  • 3 cloves minced garlic

  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs

  • 1/8 cup oil (I used olive oil)

  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce

  • 1/4 cup parsley (fresh is better, but I used dried in the photos)

  • 1/2 tsp dried basil

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients. Make sure you mix enough until everything is incorporated.

  2. Preheat your air fryer 400 F.

  3. Shape into 1-inch meatballs. I use a measuring spoon (1 tbsp) to estimate the size distribution.

  4. Place the meatballs a single layer in air fryer basket; cook for 7-10 mins until lightly browned and cooked through, shaking halfway through.

  5. Ready to serve!
